ROCKERS!

In the last post I included a clip from the film Rockers, a 1978 film by Ted Bafaloukos. This film stars numerous reggae artists that were merely musical divinities with no acting backgrounds; artists like Big Youth, Burning Spear, drummer Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace, Gregory Isaacs, Dillinger, and Jacob Miller. A majority of the scenes and backdrops were the actual residences, hang-outs, and recording studios of these irie gentlemen. This film showcases reggae culture at its prime. If you haven’t seen Rockers, I-man suggest you hunt down a friend of a friend of a friend who may have a burnt copy, and check it out. SEEN
